Theodore Tomandl, Executive Chef Chef Ted has excellent culinary experience in the restaurant industry. He worked as a Chef at both the Boar's Head Inn and at the well known, Wintergreen Resort in Charlottesville, Virginia . As the Executive Chef at Auburn's Springside Inn, he revitalized the menu and created a new atmosphere where people could revel in their dining pleasure while enjoying the beautiful Finger Lakes . He later spent 4 years as Sous Chef and Kitchen Manager at one the most well known restaurants in Central New York , a favorite of President Bill Clinton and Senator Hillary Clinton, Rosalie's Cucina in Skaneateles.
Always looking for the unusual and unique opportunity, Ted took on a new challenge as the Executive Chef at the Cascade Grill, located on the southern shore of picturesque Owasco Lake . Specializing in Seafood and Tuscan dishes, he expanded the menu and brought a new and exciting experience to dining in the Finger Lakes region . While at the Cascade, Chef Ted won the prestigious “Taste for Community Action” award at the tenth annual Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency’s Taste of Action event. The Cascade was named “Favorite Restaurant” in the Finger Lakes.
Ted built the foundation of his culinary artistry experience while at the prestigious Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI . While attending the university, he was on the Dean's list and earned several distinguished student chef awards including the coveted "Cordon Bleu", the medallion that marks a chef as one who has proven ability and artistry in preparing and serving fine foods.
